And here we are! October is here, and with that comes the final quarter of the year and, of course, Quarter 4 goals.. There is so much I have left to do this year, and three months doesn’t feel like that much time.

Accomplishing goals is all about time management. It’s about putting your phone down, closing out of Facebook, and turning off the television. You only get to cross goals off your list when do you the work…when you put in the time…and when you make these goals a priority in your life.

You know that goals are important to me, and I hope they’re important to you too. Goals give you something to reach for – a constructive way to use your time and energy. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be one of those people who wishes they would have done something. I want to the person who tried it and made a decision to do it again or not.

These next three months are going to be busy for me. Why? Because I have a lot of goals to accomplish. I have a lot to do, and I have <100 days to get it done.

Earlier in September, I moved to Medellin, Colombia. There is a large digital nomad community here and less distractions than life in the States. I came here to explore a new continent, meet new people, and to get a lot done.

I have about 9 clients right now, who keep me busy and on my toes. I’ve been working hard to create boundaries in my business and to nurture the creative part of me. For me, setting boundaries and being creative is the perfect recipe to conquer my goals.

Yes, goals change. Yes, my life changes. But I still have the drive. I’m still ambitious enough to keep moving forward, even when the option to be lazy is staring me in the face.

I know there are some goals that I won’t accomplish this year, but for the ones that still have a chance, I’m coming for you!

Here are my Quarter 4 goals:

1.  Marketing certificate

I am thisclose to finishing Hubspot’s Inbound Marketing Certification Course. I think I have 3 more modules to watch + take the exam. This will be finished in the very near future!

2.  See 3 new countries

I’m not exactly sure how to make this happen, but I want to keep traveling and explore new places this year. As of writing this, I’ve only traveled to Mexico, Costa Rica, and Colombia this year – only two of those countries were new to me. I’d like to see a few new places.

 3.  Create a new content upgrade

I already know what I want to do, so now I just need to do the work and make it happen.

Spoiler alert: it’s a quiz!

4.  Complete 1 ecourse

Monkey Fist Media’s SEO Ecourse: How to Look Fine from Behind is still at the top of my list. This is a subject I really want to learn more about!

5.  Make goals/set theme for 2018

Each year, around Thanksgiving, I set an intention for the upcoming year, and I create goals. This year will be no different. This exercise is one of my favorite things to do! Plus, I get to write my end-of-year review posts, which I love!! And, I’ll probably buy a new bullet journal too! YAY.

How did I do on last quarter’s goals?

I’m just going to make the blanket statement of “this went very poorly!” I don’t even have excuses other than I didn’t do the work.

Last quarter was consumed with family time, client work, and prepping to move to Colombia. No, these aren’t excuses; these are facts. I don’t just sit around watching Gilmore Girls and eating M&Ms all day. #dreamlife

A lot happened last quarter:

  • I had my largest grossing month EVER
  • I surpassed 2016’s income in August
  • Found a coworking space near my family
  • Got 3 new clients
  • Started earning affiliate income
  • Started talking to a new accountability partner
  • Moved to Colombia

At this point, there are 91 days until the end of the year. When you think about it, that’s a long time. And, I’m going to get started now!

What are you doing to end your year on a strong note?
